2.2 Chapter and Verse on the Origins of the Big-Tire Set
IN THE BEGINNING, Bob Chandler created Bigfoot.
2 And Bigfoot was a Ford F-250 with tires from a tractor and axles from a giant military truck. And it was big. 3 Thus Bigfoot grew and prospered. It roamed the land seeking cars to crush and crowds to awe. 4 And in those days few other monsters roamed the land. King Kong went about spewing black diesel smoke and crushing. 5 And lo, Bigfoot starred in a movie, Take This Job and Shove It. And it was good. 6 And all who owned 4x4s said, "Let there be more monster trucks on the firmament of the Earth. And let them have four-wheel steering, hydraulic tilt beds and dual transfer cases. And let them exist for seasons, and for days, and for years." And it was so. 7 Bigfoot begat Bigfoot II, and King Kong begat Awesome Kong II. And arena owners were happy. 8 All who saw them said it was a good thing to have monster trucks roaming the land. So monsters sprang forth from all over the Earth. The mighty Bear Foot from the land called Illinois. The massive USA-l from Minnesota. The astounding All American from the swamps of Florida. 9 And some monsters sought the mud, and some pulled sleds, and others conquered the waters. And all other 4x4s were humbled. 10 And in those days monsters ruled the land . . .
